The magic of Yin and Reiki

Yin Yoga is such a magical gift. We spend so much of our life in a Yang state - rushing from place to place, trying to achieve fitness goals, ticking things off endless to do lists, so stepping into a Yin class can be the perfect way to find balance and rejuvenate your body. In a Yin class we spend more time in postures allowing us to release deep-seated energies and prepare our body and mind for relaxation and meditation.

Reiki is a form of energy healing, it works on many levels to heal and find energetic balance. It can help to align us physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. 

So…imagine putting the two together! It’s the dream combination. Pairing the powerful practice of Yin Yoga with the ancient healing modality of Reiki can create an even more blissful and restorative experience. 

When students sigh into long hold Yin poses they already begin to stimulate energy or Chi by activating the meridian lines that run through the body and through stretching deeply into their connective tissues. When Reiki is performed at the same time the students energy will be lifted even higher and they’ll be more likely to experience healing and balance. Plus, the warmth that radiates from a Reiki practitioners hands as you rest in these postures feels so comforting and nurturing - trust me!
